Richard
is a dedicated and highly regarded public official and had been in public
service for his entire career. Currently, Richard serves as the Chairman of the
powerful Corporations, Authorities and Commissions Committee in the New
York State Assembly. He has represented Westchester County for over 24
years.

Richard has fought
to reduce our property taxes. Richard was one of the authors of
the STAR program and continues to fight to lower our taxes.
Richard
has fought for better health care. Richard
saved the
Westchester Medical Center and led the successful effort to protect organ
donors' families.

Richard has fought
to clean-up the corrupt system of public authorities. Richard
led statewide investigations of public authorities and
mismanagement at the MTA, the Thruway Authority, Empire Zones and others.
Richard
is an environmentalist's environmentalist. Richard is the author
of the Environmental Bond Act and has led the fight to reduce air
pollutants. He has also won several landmark environmental cases to
protect the Hudson River.
Richard
is an ardent consumer protection advocate.
Richard has authored many important Internet
security laws, has fought for honest and fair pharmaceutical advertising and
fought for regulations to protect affordable and reliable phone service.
